I HAVE FINISHED MY DEGREE!!!

It's been three long and hard years, but i had my final exam today. I didn't hate my time at university by any means; i'm actually really sad it's over but i'm also relieved to have finished. Learning is the best thing, but exams, essays and that constant pressure isn't. Definitely bittersweet.

Here's something i started over a year, and never finished. I remember being very excited as it progressed, but eventually i hit a brick wall. In this case it was the girl on the Tiger's back. I just found her really difficult to draw. A temporary pause, just kind of became a permanent one. I still quite like it... so maybe i'll come back to it one day.

Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII

My first Final Fantasy artwork here on this blog! I'd love to do more, but i'm so pedantic about details, and Tetsuya Nomura's designs contain so much detail that it simply requires far too much effort to research his designs so i can recreate his characters accurately. Anyway, I went as far i could with this one, and, yes, she is missing her knuckle wear, and sword, but there was no way i was going to draw that!

Darkstalkers Entry

I didn't get into the Tribute book, so i'm a little disappointed. Seeing as i've never played a Darkstalkers game before, i guess it wouldn't have been right anyway since work should be from the 'fans'. I'm looking forward to seeing the book though, should be high caliber stuff.
